After Vernon retired, in 1926, the grand dining room was finally completed by the same architect who designed Sydney's Queen Victoria Building, George McRae. At Caves House, Vernon's hotel design included an enormous grand dining room. Vernon, a tireless former soldier who was also the NSW Government Architect from 1890 to 1911, designed many landmark buildings throughout Australia, including the Art Gallery of NSW. Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen reports that charges are pending against 39-year-old Dustin Watkins of Little Falls, MN for his involvement in an armed robbery at The Cave Bar & Grill located at the intersection of Highway 27 and 370 th Avenue, approximately four miles north of Hillman, MN in Richardson Township.
